Almost all that is
known of this Sir Edward is that he took a wife out of the Cromwellian
family of the Hungerfords of Farley Castle in Somersetshire and that six
children were born to him. The children were weakly for most of them died
young. William the eldest born being buried 19th August 1676:

after the death of Dame Kath mother of Sir Edward) if the said Thomas shall so
long live.

when he 'disappears' from view - reportedly 'died at sea'
.........in 1710 Stradling gets transferred to Dinan in Brittan, France.
He and 17 other prisoners manage to escape by tying their sheets together
and the next he is in Jersey.
He disappears and nobody has seen him since...
