Robert and Grace left Southampton on board the "Magdalena" with 6 of their 7 children on the 23rd May 1853 - arriving in Port Adelaide, Sth Aust on the 25th August 1853.
It would appear that Caroline at some stage returned to England as there is a note of her 2nd arrival aboard the "Jocelyn" in late 1876.
Arriving were Spargo Robert 39 Miner - Cornwall, Grace 33, Mary Jane 12, Eliza Anne 11
Rebecca 9, Caroline 3, Louisa inf, - Grace died on voyage and was buried at sea.
