CARNE.     This family derives its descent from Ynyr, King of Gwent
                 (gth cent.), whose grandson Dyfrig, or Devereux, who lived
                 at the time of the Conquest, first assumed the name of
                 Carne, from a place called Pen Carne, in Monmouthshire,
                 where he was nurtured.

STRADLING     Stradling - a Tudor family name, they helped Robert fitz Hamo
                      conquer Glamorgan.
                      They trace their ancestry to John de Estatlinges from Strattligen,
